Family Dog

"Our family adopted Louie (King Louie/Louis) from our local shelter and had no idea what adopting a shelter dog meant in regards to past trauma and how to best support him. We immediately threw him into our busy lives with tons of new humans and experiences that overwhelmed him and caused him to react. Since we were new to adopting a shelter pet, we immediately thought our only answer was to give him back after his reaction.

Lauren came in as a recommended intervention from the shelter and we agreed to have her come and evaluate Louie to see if he was trainable.  At the very first meeting, we knew that she would be transforming us as pawents more so than transforming Louie. With Lauren’s guidance & training, we just celebrated Louie’s 1st year anniversary with our family as well as his 3rd birthday. Lauren helped us see how important training is for the humans as well as the doggos. We are so thankful for such a knowledgeable trainer.
